Frozen pipes at a local church
During the freezing temperatures in January a local church had multiple water lines in their heating system rupture and two floors of the building were affected.
Our certified technicians came in and extracted any standing water and removed all affected materials quickly. The kitchen downstairs was completely affected and everything from the counter tops , cabinets and two layers of vinyl flooring had to be removed.
Due to the heating pipes freezing and breaking in multiple locations throughout the building , there was no heat. SERVPRO of White Plains used an electrician to drop in temporary power so we could bring in our Firebirds to provide temporary heat to the building . The temporary heat provided by the Firebirds also gave us the ability to run our drying equipment to get any of the residual moisture dried up as well. The heat was back on within a week and we were able to remove the Firebirds and remove our drying equipment after verifying the structure was dry.
