Chimney fire

There was a chimney fire in this local home. Luckily the damage in the house was just smoke and soot. Our crew came in and had to open the ceiling to get access to the insulation that needed to be removed due to heavy smoke odor. They used the holes that were present from when the fire department inspected to make sure the fire was only within the chimney. Our technicians will use chem-sponges to remove the soot from all surfaces and follow with a SERVPRO cleaning solution.
